LifeStyles’ Homeless Services division connects homeless individuals and families with available resources in the organization and community, with the ultimate goal of leading them to more permanent housing options.

I Need Food for Myself or My Family
If you are hungry and in need of food, LifeStyles of Maryland has several options available to help you find food right now. Our Charles County Cares Cabanas are open throughout the week, across the county. Search the locations to find the closest cabana to you.
Our Supportive Services division also helps provide food and clothing to those in need. And Charles County Food Connection’s website is a single destination to identify food pantries and distribution sites from LifeStyles and other organizations on a daily basis.

I Am Looking for a Job

I Need Help with Transportation
LifeStyles provides subsidized transportation for residents of Southern Maryland. It is partially funded through the Maryland Transportation Authority, to support a household’s self-sufficiency. Transportation services are available for low- to moderate-income households to access community services, employment and medical-related appointments.

LifeStyles’ Supportive Services division provides basic safety net services to assist households in meeting their most essential needs. For those in need, we can provide clothing, food, household essentials and more.

Our Housing Services division is available to provide assistance and resources to domestic violence victims.
Case management, transportation, referrals to counseling and other supportive services are offered in a safe and comfortable environment.

I Need Help Filing My Taxes
During tax season, LifeStyles’ Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program connects people who earned less than $60,000 annually with free tax prep services. Taxes are prepared by certified tax professionals who volunteer their time and expertise.
