The Right Resources at the Right Time
LifeStyles’ Human Services Division provides a single point of access to gain services to support a household’s self-sufficiency. Case managers are available in our Charles, Calvert and St. Mary’s offices to discuss the client’s and connect them with available resources, including:
- Emergency Financial Assistance
- Financial Management
- Homeless Prevention Subsidies
- Rehousing Subsidies
- Gap-Filling Financial Assistance
In order to ensure a successful transition and long-term success, additional resources are available, including:
Advocacy, Case Management and Referral Connections
Staff can assist persons in accessing additional services based upon other sub-populations in which they are eligible (veteran, homeless, unaccompanied youth, domestic violence, disabled, etc.).
Benefits Assistance
Staff are available to work with clients to ensure they gain access to eligible benefits, such as SNAP food stamp benefits, medical insurance, free cell phone, and any other services.
Workforce Development Services
Provides employment matching services for homeless and imminent risk clients to access local employment opportunities and provides supportive services.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
Low- to moderate-income households can receive free federal and state tax preparation services by IRS-certified tax preparers.
