When the 40+ Double Dutch Club steps into action, the energy is contagious.
It’s all rhythm, laughter and movement — but it doesn’t stop there.
Beyond the ropes, this incredible group of women has been a steady source of compassion and care for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
For the past two years, the Waldorf Subclub of the 40+ Double Dutch Club has partnered with LifeStyles to provide hot, home-cooked meals for those who need them most. They’ve brought comfort to our White Plains Shelter and shared joy and conversation during lunches at our Homeless Day Center — serving nearly 50 guests each time.
But what truly stands out isn’t just the food they bring. It’s the love they bring with it.
They take time to talk with each person, to listen, to laugh, to make a human connection that means just as much as the meal itself. Their kindness fills the room as much as their food fills the plates.
This group reminds us that service can come in many forms — sometimes with a ladle, sometimes with a jump rope.
Always with heart.
To the 40+ Double Dutch Club Waldorf Subclub: thank you for showing us what it means to blend fun, fitness, and faith into a movement that uplifts others.
Your joy in serving is an inspiration to us all.
