In Memory of Al “Sonny” Bean
A Life of Service and Impact
We honor the life and legacy of Al “Sonny” Bean, a cherished friend and longtime supporter of LifeStyles of Maryland.
For years, he and his wife, Frances, quietly and faithfully served hundreds of families in our community. Each Thanksgiving, he purchased and delivered fresh produce from Miller’s Farm to help feed over 750 households. Even while spending winters in Florida, the Beans continued to send gifts, clothing and supplies for those in need — always thinking of others, especially children. His daughter, Mary Bailey has continued to volunteer with us and has acted as one of the lead volunteers at our Distribution Center.
Their deep love for learning and belief in the power of education inspired plans to establish the Al & Frances Bean Library at Southern Crossing, our transitional housing program. To honor Sonny Bean’s legacy of compassion and service, the Bean family invites you to make a donation in his memory. Your gift will help carry forward the values he lived by and support the families he so deeply cared about.
